Recently hosted at the exceptional NGV Garden, Artedomus and The Local Project had the pleasure of congratulating the exceptional winners of The Emerging Designer Awards – a celebration of innovation, sustainability and cutting-edge design by the pioneers of tomorrow.
Throughout our 35 years of history, Artedomus has held a deep-seated commitment to supporting the Australian design industry, so it is particularly exciting to launch this new level of support for our incredible design community.
We conceived The Emerging Designer Award to provide a platform to promote designers in the early stages of their design journey. Our goal was to offer these promising designers not only the recognition they deserve but also to provide a promotional framework to give their careers a significant head start.
Working closely with our long-term partners, The Local Project, we created this program to recognise the work of early-stage designers that demonstrated the potential and original use of material and space, sustainability and innovative thinking.
The calibre of entries this year demonstrates a healthy cohort of emerging designers keen to make their mark with projects of outstanding quality.
We were beyond impressed and it reiterates – if there was any doubt – that the standard of work in Australia is world-class and everyone who entered should be incredibly proud.
As this Awards program continues to grow, we look forward to supporting these designers with their visions for a beautiful and sustainable future.
