Artedomus introduces Spiggy

A new partnership with Brisbane-based, artisanal hardware brand Spiggy will allow designers and homeowners to choose one-of-a-kind handles for kitchens, bathrooms, living spaces and more that complement Artedomus’ surfaces and furniture, all under one roof.

Spiggy was founded by designer Colin Wright in 2020, filling a gap in the local market for unique, expertly crafted and authentically designed hardware. Wright sources his exclusive pieces from around the world, with the majority designed by renowned international architects and designers. A broad range of styles, from sleek and minimalist to intricate and highly decorative, allows the collection to cater to a diverse range of architectural aesthetics.

“Before launching Spiggy, Colin worked at Artedomus for many years, where he was a key part of our team, so we’re delighted to be working together again,” says Phil Brenton, Managing Director at Artedomus. “This partnership felt very organic as Artedomus and Spiggy share similar values – we both look for unique, beautifully made products with a story to tell, carefully sourced from boutique brands across the globe.

“It’s been a joy to watch Spiggy grow over the last few years, and we’re pleased to be part of the next stage of the company’s growth. Given Artedomus’ extensive network and experience, we hope to bring this fantastic hardware range to more designers and homeowners who are looking for something a little bit special for their home or commercial space,” he says.

Wright is equally excited about the new partnership. “I’m absolutely thrilled to partner with Artedomus,” he says. “I have so much respect for the people, their passion for their products, and the way the business is run. My intention for Spiggy was always to do for hardware what Artedomus has done for tiles, so I really couldn’t have wished for a better alignment. We attract the same type of client, and there’s a natural synergy between the type of products we look for, and the way we approach both business and our relationships with our suppliers.”

Spiggy hardware can currently be seen in their Brisbane showroom (Level 1, 927 Ann Street, Fortitude Valley, Queensland 4006), and will soon be on display in the Artedomus Sydney showroom at the end of 2023, and in Melbourne in 2024.
