Artedomus: A Legacy of Quality, Expertise, and Trust in Architectural Finishes

Artedomus, originally founded in 1985 as Domus Ceramics, has established itself as Australia’s leading supplier of unique, high-quality stone, tiles, architectural surfaces, bathware, and furniture for both commercial and residential architectural projects.

Built on a philosophy of importing exclusive Italian floor and wall finishes, the company has consistently focused on sourcing products with a simple and natural intrinsic beauty, deliberately shunning short-term fashion and trends. This steadfast commitment to timeless design and outstanding product offerings has cemented Artedomus’s reputation as a source of reference and inspiration for leading architects and designers across Australia.

Expert Sourcing and Diverse Product Range
A key pillar of Artedomus’s trustworthiness is its expertise in sourcing unique stones, tiles, and architectural surfaces from around the world. They have introduced some of the most beautiful and widely recognised marbles, limestones, and sandstones to the Australian market. These natural products are celebrated for their depth of colour, unique markings, and exceptional qualities, having been favoured by architects and designers for generations.

Beyond natural stone, Artedomus is the exclusive supplier of premium international ranges:

  • INAX mosaics and architectural ceramics from Japan. Artedomus has an exclusive range for Australia, and INAX allows for significant customisation in form, colour, and glaze, even creating custom molds for larger projects, as seen with the Melbourne Conservatory of Music.
  • The iconic Agape Italy bathware. Agape products can be customised with matte coatings in various colours, and some basins are available in stones not listed in their catalogue.
  • New Volumes furniture, which is a custom range of homewares and furniture created by Artedomus using their unique materials, designed by Australians and sold worldwide. Volume one of this brand specifically uses Elba stone, showcasing its versatility and how it can be machined into complex 3D shapes.
  • Cotto Manetti Italian terracotta.
  • Decoratori Bassanesi ceramics.
  • Artedomus also supplies porcelain panels, which constitute a significant part of their business. These panels are made from 100% natural materials and are incredibly durable, resistant to scratching, staining, and heat, and are UV stable. They are available in 6mm and 12mm thicknesses, with the latter being particularly suitable for kitchen benchtops due to its edge profile capabilities. The company actively seeks new colours and suppliers for porcelain panels based on architects’ requests.
