Limestone

Limestone is a popular, long-lasting material that stands up well to exposure and humidity; it is however vulnerable to acidity.

Limestone is a sedimentary rock formed through the compression of organic matter over time. Pure limestone is white or almost white; impurities, like sand, clay, iron oxide and organic materials cause the variety of colours seen in limestone.

Marble

Marble is capable of taking a polish and is commonly used in architecture and sculpture for its organic beauty and hard-wearing qualities.

Marble comes about through changes in sedimentary carbonate rocks like limestone. Pressure and high temperatures turn the original rock into calcite and/or dolomite crystals.

Sandstone

Sandstone is an sedimentary rock composed mainly of feldspar and quartz and varies in colour (in a similar way to sand), through grey, yellow, red, and white. Since sandstones often form highly visible cliffs and other rock formations, certain colors of sandstone may be strongly identified with certain regions.

Our unique sandstones from northern Italy are extremely hard wearing and durable and are suitable for any application.

Bluestone

Bluestone or Basalt is a gray to blue/black volcanic rock.

It is usually fine-grained due to rapid cooling of lava on the Earth’s surface. The crustal portions of oceanic tectonic plates are predominantly made of basalt.

This type of stone is extermely hardwearing and suitable for any application.

Ceramics

The versatile, hard-wearing qualities of ceramic are a perfect fit for any modern interior or exterior.

Ceramics are materials made of nonmetallic minerals that have been permanently hardened by firing at a high temperature. Most ceramics resist heat and chemicals and are poor conductors of heat and electricity.

Traditional ceramics are made of clay and other natural occurring materials.

Mosaic

The versatile, hard-wearing qualities of mosaic are a perfect fit for any modern interior.

Mosaic: a surface consisting of a tessellated design made of small pieces of coloured stone or glass.
